consequences like natural disasters.

What causes extreme weather?
A
hurricane
is a large tropical storm. Hurricanes
are sometimes hundreds of kilometres wide,
and they can produce winds of more than
250 kilometres per hour.
A
tornado
is a column of air that comes down
from a storm cloud and rotates violently.
Tornadoes affect a smaller area than
hurricanes, but they can cause a lot of damage.
Torrential rain
can cause dangerous floods.
Rivers can overflow and destroy bridges, roads
and homes.
Floods
are a big problem in some
parts of Spain. What problems is this flood
causing?
