How to start
•
Look at the illustration and encourage students to describe
the things they see.
•
Ask the children questions about the picture. Where are
they? What can you see? Look at the people in the picture.
Are they the same? How are they different?
•
Provide examples and prompt children when necessary. For
example, the children playing volleyball are older than Ben
and Amy.
•
Possible groupings are: different sexes, ages, physical
appearances, positions (e.g. sitting/standing), activities
(running/playing), clothes, etc.
•
Choose someone in thepicture. Imagine you are that person.
Tell the students they have to guess who you are. You say
and mime what the person looks like. For example,
I am a
woman. I am older than Amy. I am playing an instrument.
The class guess who you are in the picture.
