Activities: step-by-step guide
Activity 1
•
Tell the children to listen and look at the picture. Play Track
1 and tell them to answer the questions.
•
Play the track again and ask the children to do the actions
(jump, clap, play volleyball, play the guitar, run).
•
Look at the picture and ask children what body parts are
needed to do the different actions.
(hands, feet, legs, arms,
fingers).
Activity 2
•
Tell the children to look at the pictures and say whether they
need their hands or feet to do the activities. Point to one
picture and ask

same in pairs.
Activity 3
•
Tell the children to look at the picture. Play Track 2. Children
listen and repeat the words head, torso, limbs.
•
Children listen to the questions and point to the body parts
(head, torso, limbs)
in the picture.
Activity 4
Assessment opportunity
•
Tell the children to find the stickers for the page and to place
them in the correct place.
•
As the children are placing their stickers in the correct place,
walk around the classroom pointing to different body parts
and asking

(torso).

Tell the children to look at the photo in the corner of the
page. Ask

(a foot).
•
Ask them to tell you if they remember any other body parts
(e.g.
hand, arm, leg
) to elicit prior knowledge for the next
lesson. Write them down on the blackboard and tell them
that this is what you will do in the next science class.

Look at Amy. She claps with her hands. Can you clap? Clap!
Look at the boys and girls. They play volleyball with their
arms and their legs. Can you play volleyball? Play volleyball!
