What are living things made up of?
Living things
All living things are made up of
cells
. Cells are the basic units of life.
They are living things. Cells are very small, so we need a microscope
to see them.
Cells carry out the basic life processes of interaction, nutrition and
reproduction. Most cells reproduce by dividing to form two new cells.

found inside the membrane.
Cytoplasm

clear liquid protected by
the membrane.
In cytoplasm, we nd

organelles
that
carry out di erent life
processes. For example,
they carry out nutrition
by transforming
nutrients into energy.
The
nucleus
controls
everything that happens
inside the cell.
