Design and build a structure based on technological project methods and according to the following
conditions:
Proposal 1: Tower
Build a framed structure capable of supporting a load of 2000 grams on the top part.
Obligatory conditions
1.
The structure must include triangular rods in some of its parts.
2.
The height of the structure should be 35 cm, and the base should be no bigger than 15 cm x 15 cm.
3.
The building components should not measure more than 1 cm in width.
4.
Permitted construction materials are the following: paper, cardboard, recycled cellulose derivatives,
string and contact adhesive.
Proposal 2: Bridge
Build a structure capable of supporting a load of 1000 g at its centre and with a span of 40 cm.
Obligatory conditions
1.
The structure should include cable suspenders in some of its parts.
2.
The maximum height of the structure, which it must not reach at all of its points, should be 30 cm.
3.
The building components should not measure more than 1 cm in width.
4.
Permitted construction materials include the following: paper, cardboard, recycled cellulose derivatives,
string and contact adhesive.
Documentation to be presented
1.
Group activity report, which should include all the documents required in order to completely
understand the proposal.
2.
Structure design plans. These should include:
a)
Individual design sketch that fully describes the proposed solution, with details of the floors, elevations
or general views, as well as construction details and assembly solutions.
b)
Design sketch of the solution adopted, with an indication of the details adopted from each of the initial
individual design sketches.
c)
Dimensional and to-scale exploded view showing the order of assembly for the various parts.
d)
Process sheets, budget and assessment.
3.
List of materials needed to build the tower and bridge and information on how to obtain them.
4.
Instructions for building and assembling the structure.
