Show flashcards of different places:
classroom, library, gym,
dining room, bathroom, playground.
Say the place and ask
children to find the image in their book.
Look at the picture and ask children to talk about the things
they like doing at school and what their favourite places at
school are.
Activity 2
Tell children to find the pictures and circle them in the large
image.
Ask:
Where are these things at school?
Give examples,
such as:
The desk is in the classroom. The tree is in the
playground.
Activity 3
Point to and read the different places at school. Identify
different activities.
Match the activities to the places where they are carried
out. When finished, compare answers with a partner.
Activity 4
Track 2.
Listen to the song. Show the flashcards for
the different places and/or demonstrate the activities as
children listen. Listen to the song again and children do the
activities.
Following the song, give TPR instructions to children. Say
three instructions in a row to encourage memory skills. For
example, say:
Wash your hands, play sport, read a book.
Children do the three actions in a sequence.
Children look at the sentence at the bottom of the page.
Ask them to name other places at school.

Children look at the photo at the bottom right of the page.
Say:
What’s this? Hands up to answer.
Extra idea!
Say:
Where do we eat?
Elicit answers for other
activities.
Assessment opportunity
Recap the lesson with the class. Ask:
How did we begin
today’s lesson? What did we do next? And after that?
