If you’re happy and you know it.
Change the
second verse to: ‘If you’re angry and you know it stamp your
feet’. Tell the class to stand up, sing and do the actions with
you. Change the verses so that you use a variety of emotions
(sad, worried, tired, etc, as well as the different parts of the
body to revise body parts.
•
Make a class Emotions booklet or poster. Take photos of
children doing different emotions: sad, angry, happy, tired,
etc. Print the photos and write the emotion under each one.
Get the class to put the photos into a booklet or on a poster
and display these in the classroom.
•
You can use this throughout the year so that they can
express how they are feeling that day and help them
identify how others are feeling (when a student gets angry
with someone in class you can ask him to go and point at
the emotion).
