How to start
•
Play the video of the experiment. Explain to the children
that they are going to watch a television show called
‘Experiment time!’, and that afterwards they will do the
experiment in class.
•
This experiment can be done individually, in pairs or in small
groups, depending on howmany soft balls you have in class.
Activities: step-by-step guide
Activity 1
•
Ask the children to try to move a ball with their foot, hand
and nose. Then tell them to tick the box depending on
whether they were able to do it or not.
Activity 2
•
Ask the children to try to catch a ball with their feet, hands
and nose. Then tell them to tick the box depending on
whether they were able to do it or not.
Activity 3
•
Finally, ask the children to try to pick up a ball with their feet,
hands and nose. Then tell them to tick the box depending
on whether they were able to do it or not.
Teacher tip!
•
Move around the class and give the children the chance to
tell you what they were able to do. Tell them to share with
their friends and compare. Ask them to think of other parts
of their body they can try this with and encourage them to
do it by writing it in their notebooks.
