The Earth is made of minerals and rocks. The outer layer, the crust, is
where we get the rocks and minerals that we use in our everyday lives.
Sometimes the Earth’s inner layers, which are made of hot minerals,
come out to the surface, in the form of volcanoes. By the end of this
unit you will know the difference between rocks and minerals, their
properties, and about how the Earth’s surface can change.
