What are provinces?
Each autonomous community is made up of one
province
or more.
Seven of the 17 autonomous communities have only one province
and are sometimes referred to as
uniprovincial
communities
.
Cantabria, for example, is an autonomous community
with just one province. Andalucía has eight.
