Other coastal landforms include
gulfs

bays
. These include the
Bay of Biscay
(France and Spain)
and the Gulf of Bothnia between
Finland and Sweden.
Fjords
and
rias
are
inlets
in the coast
formed in a similar way. Fjords
were formed by
glaciers
and rias
are river valleys flooded by rising
sea levels. The coasts of Norway
and Greenland have many fjords,
such as this one in the photo, the
Hardangerfjord in Norway. The
best-known rias are on the coast
of Galicia in Spain.
