A Personal Learning Environment (PLE) is a combination of resources and activities that a person normally uses

          to learn.

In the last fifty years, there have been many changes in edu-

cation. Here are the three main ones:

          1.

The way we access and manage information.

          2.

The tools we use to create and share information.

          3.

The use of social networks to distribute information.

          Personal Learning Environment

Although the expression ‘Personal Learning Environment’ is new, the concept has existed for a long time. In your notebook,

make a list of the resources and activities that your parents or grandparents probably used when they were young. How

are they different from what you use today? Discuss your ideas with your classmates.

You will develop your infographic as you

progress through the various sections of this

unit, taking notes about the resources and

          activities that you use.

You will also write down the resources and

activities that you do not use at the present

moment, but which may be useful in the

          near future.

make an infographic? Find information and take notes. Discuss them with

register to use them, you can ask your parents

for permission or you can find information online

          by using a search engine.
